Arthur Brouns is a Belgian composer and music producer whose scores blend orchestral and electronic elements. His work spans film, theatre, video games, fashion and installation, shaping immersive music that moves beyond genre.
Recent projects include the soundtrack for Trokas Duras, winner of the Short Film Jury Award at Sundance 2025, and additional music for the Emmy nominated Netflix series Encounters. Brouns has collaborated with artists and directors across Europe, with clients including BBC, Netflix, Nike, PUBGM and Jaguar.
He first emerged in the electronic music scene, performing as a producer from the age of fifteen and later appearing at festivals such as Tomorrowland. In his mid twenties the orchestra entered his life and reshaped his practice, leading to years of study and a focus on bridging acoustic and electronic music. Since then he has collaborated with orchestras across Europe and developed a personal musical voice defined by experimentation and narrative craft.
His current work expands into interactive music and adaptive scoring for new media, bringing together his orchestral background with contemporary technology. Brouns also leads Cortex Ensemble, a group devoted to live performance and recordings, whose work has been presented at Art Basel Miami, International Theater Amsterdam and Bozar Brussels.
