Arthur Brouns is a Belgian composer and music producer whose scores blend electronic and orchestral elements. His work spans narrative visual media, works for stage, fashion, and interactive media, shaping immersive music that moves beyond genre.
Recent projects include the soundtrack for Trokas Duras, winner of the Short Film Jury Award at Sundance, and additional music for the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Encounters. Brouns has worked with clients including BBC, Netflix, Nike, ARD, M6 and Jaguar.
He first emerged in the electronic music scene, performing as a producer from the age of fifteen and appearing at festivals such as Tomorrowland. In his twenties orchestral writing entered his life and reshaped his practice, leading to a focus on bridging the orchestra and electronic music. Since then he has worked with many orchestras across Europe and developed a personal musical voice defined by experimentation and narrative craft.
He leads Cortex Ensemble, a group devoted to live performance and recordings, whose work has been presented at Art Basel Miami, International Theater Amsterdam and Bozar Brussels.
