Arthur Brouns is a Belgian composer and music producer whose scores blend orchestral and electronic elements. His work moves across film, theatre, dance, video games, fashion, and installation—shaping immersive music that extends beyond genre.
Recent projects include the soundtrack for Trokas Duras, winner of the Short Film Jury Award at Sundance 2025, and additional music for the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Encounters. He also scored Wim Vandekeybus’ Blood Wedding, Void, and Infamous Offspring—the latter co-created with Warren Ellis, and Blood Wedding featuring Eva Quartet of The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices.
With a background in electronic music performance, Brouns began his career at seventeen, performing at festivals such as Tomorrowland and Dimensions. Since then, he has recorded with ensembles across Europe including the Brussels Philharmonic, the Budapest Film Orchestra, the Prague Film Orchestra, and FAMES Project, and has composed for clients such as the BBC, Netflix, Nike, Jaguar, TED-Ed, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
He leads Cortex Ensemble, a group of musicians dedicated to live performance and film scoring, and his work has been featured at institutions including Art Basel Miami, the International Theater Amsterdam, and Bozar Brussels.
